On any given return, the cell phone and carrier fields must be complete and correct.
Start the process of printing a form
Click remote signature
After a few seconds, the print dialog will disappear.
The recipient will receive a text directing them to a website.
The recipient will turn their phone sideways, as instructed.
They will check off the "I have read the document" checkbox
They may sign with their finger on their cell phone screen
The can "cancel" which will abort the whole process, "clear" which will clear the signature area for another attempt. and "accept", which accepts the signature and sends it back.
To check the status of the signature, the preparer can look at the remote signature section of the tree
The status will show all signature transactions and whether they are waiting on the taxpayer or not.
Doubleclicking on the transaction on this summary will bring them to a list of documents, which they can then doubleclick to view and review. They will find the signature embedded in the document.
Note: This process will also allow the ERO and Paid preparer signatures to be filled out. The Cell phone, Carrier, and PTIN or SSN fields must all be filled out to succeed. If these are entered correctly, the "remoteSign button will work"
