Reject; Primary name or social security number does not match IRS database

Check last years return to confirm the return was accepted and that all information pulled forward correctly. Verify the reject is not due to date of birth which is not always checked by the e-file database. Verify the client has not changed their name. Verify the social security card. If all information is correct, contact the IRS and social security administration. Typically takes about 2 weeks for the system to update.
