How to process an e-card or e-check payment in the program

In order to use the e-card or e-check processing in the program the ERO must be enrolled with a bank. An e-card can be processed for any refund type. In order to process an e-check, the check must be written on the same account that the refund will be deposited to and the refund type must be direct deposit.
How to process an e-card payment in the program:@
- Complete the tax return.
- On Form 8879 enter the Refund Type. This does not have to be a bank product and will work with any refund type, including Balance Due.
- Click the Payments button on the top toolbar.
- In the Tax Return Payment Details window, select E-CARD from the Payment Method dropdown. Enter the paymount amount, and then click Authorize.
- In the CC Payment Authorization window, enter all of the information requested, and then click Submit.
How to process an e-check payment in the program:
- Complete the tax return.
- On Form 8879 enter "2" for Refund Type. The check must be written on the same account that the refund will be deposited to and the refund type must be direct deposit.
- Click the Payments button on the top toolbar.
- In the Tax Return Payment Details window, select E-CHECK from the Payment Method dropdown. Enter the paymount amount, and then click Authorize.
- In the CC Payment Authorization window, enter all of the information requested, and then click Submit.
