How to install state packages

How to install a state package from within the program:

  1. Create or open a tax return.
  2. On the menu bar click Add Form.
  3. Click theState tab.
  4. Select the state from the Available States drop down.
  5. Select the form to be added. If the state is not currently installed, a dialog will open indicating the state package has been queued for delivery.


  6. Click OK.
  7. Click Close.
  8. Click Close on the tool bar.


  9. After closing the tax return, click Transmit on the tool bar.


  10. Click Transmit. The state package will be downloaded.
  11. On the Work In Progress Summary, click Software Updates under Other Items.


  12. Click Apply All to install the state package.
  13. Click Restart once the updates have finished installing. The program will restart.
The selected state packages will now be available.
