How to customize electronic filing preferences

To configure electronic filing preferences, follow these steps:
- Log in to the program as a user with Administrator rights.
- From the top menu, select Setup->Office Setup.
- Click the Electronic Filing tab and complete the following information:
FIELD | DESCRIPTION |

Default EFIN | Enter the desired default Electronic Filing Identification Number. The IRS assigns this number when Form 8633 is filed. This is not a required entry. |
Default SBIN | Enter the desired Default Service Bureau Identification Number. This is not a required entry. |
DCN for new EFINs | Type the number to begin the Declaration |
Assign DCN Locally | TODO - Update info |
IRS TeleTax Number | Type the IRS TeleTax number to appear on acknowledgement letters. The program automatically completes this field with the default TeleTax number. This should not be changed without direction from support. |
Discard ACK Letters | Select this check box to remove the Acknowledgement Letters entry from the Work In Progress Summary (WIP) screen. |
Auto Generate Pins (Program year 2010 and later) | Select this check box to automatically generate PINs on Form 8879. |
Prompt to File State Electronically | Choose one of the following options: Always - Select this option if to configure the program to always prompt attach a state to a return; When Required - Select this option to configure the program to prompt to add a state to a return only if the IRS/State require the return to be filed electronically with the federal return; Never - Select this option to configure the program to never prompt to add a state return. |
- Click OK to save the changes.
