Error Message: "Error-ICLRMetaHost::GetRuntime failed"
SYMPTOMS
When trying to email the tax return, the following error message appears:- "Error-ICLRMetaHost::GetRuntime failed"
RESOLUTION
Download and install Microsoft .NET Framework SP 2.0:
- Download .NET Framework from this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=1639
- Click Download and choose NetFx20SP2_x86.exe and click Next
- Run and install .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
- Once installed you may need to Restart the PC
- After the PC has been Restarted, Open the software and try to email the return again.
- Error should be resolved
