A description of the default permissions for Login Accounts

SUMMARY

This article provides information on the default security group permissions used in the program. These default security groups are created on a new installation when login accounts are not transferred from the prior year. Otherwise whatever security groups are configured in the prior year will carry forward instead.

  • Administrator - Can perform all tasks in the program.
  • Clerk - Can perform no tasks by default in the program.
  • Data Entry - Can perform the following tasks: Add a new return, Delete Tax Return, Open a return.
  • Operator - Can perform the following tasks: Add a new return, Delete Tax Return, Export records, Import return, Import direct state, Open a return, Print RAL/RAC checks, Print tax return, Batch Print Tax Return, Process Updates, Retrieve returns, Run reports, Create E-mail, System Utilities, and Transfer returns.
